PMDC says it has cleared 99% of applications. What to do if yours is still stuck
PMDC says it issued 302,587 of 304,819 applications up to October 2026. Here is the breakdown, what to do if your licence is stuck, and why the renewal notice matters.

Figures come from a PMDC press release reported on 2 November. Fees and steps come from PMDC's own FAQ page. PMDC can change them, so confirm on pmdc.pk before you pay.
On 2 November, newspapers reported a new PMDC press release. The council says it issued 302,587 registrations and related services out of 304,819 applications, using portal figures up to October 2026. That is about 99.3%.
The gap is 2,232 applications. If yours is one of them, a good headline does not help you much. This page explains what the numbers show and what you can do today.
The numbers by licence type
The Nation published this breakdown. The last column is our own subtraction.

Full licences have the largest difference, followed by faculty registrations. These rows do not add up to the total, because the report does not list every category.
Two cautions. These are PMDC's own figures, and we found no independent check. The reports also do not say how long applications waited, or how many of the 2,232 have objections. So the figures show volume, not how fast your own case will move.

PMDC says it now flags deficiencies and objections early, so applicants can fix them. Work through this list:
- Log in to your PMDC dashboard and check the status. Look for an objection you may have missed.
- Fix any objection first. Upload the missing document or correct the detail. Press reports describe this as the way to avoid delays.
- Check your payment. If it still shows "Pending Payment" after 48 hours, PMDC's FAQ says to contact the IT Help Desk with your transaction details: it.section@pmdc.pk, or +92-51-9190000, extension 402.
- Fresh graduate and cannot apply? PMDC says your university must first upload your data to the graduation portal. Contact your college or university, not PMDC.
- Wrong address or other details? Use the change-in-data form on the dashboard.
PMDC says these steps can be done online without visiting its offices. That matters if you are on a busy house job rotation.

The FAQ does not list the renewal fee or late fee amounts. It does say a late renewal can include a late fee, a remaining period fee and a further extension fee, with the last one applying after six months past validity. So renewing late can cost more. Check the amount on your dashboard.
Do not ignore the renewal notice
The figures are not the only PMDC news that matters. The News reported on 12 August that PMDC gave doctors and dentists with inactive registrations six months from its public notice to validate and renew them.
The report says those unrenewed for more than ten continuous years will be permanently removed from the register, and it mentions regulatory action for those who do not renew in time. Counting six months from that August notice points to around February 2027. That is our estimate, not a date from PMDC, so read the notice or ask PMDC for your exact position.
If your licence has lapsed, sort this out now. It is cheaper and calmer than dealing with it when a job or a training post asks for proof.
