Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what information The House Job (thehousejob.com, “we”) collects and how we use it.
Using the site without an account
You can read everything and use the question bank without an account. Your answers, notes and settings are then stored only in your own browser on your device. We do not receive them.
If you create an account
We store your name, email address and password (securely hashed) with our database provider, Supabase. We also store your question bank progress, flags and notes so they follow you to other devices, and any comments you post. Comments show your name to other users.
Emails
We send account emails such as sign-up confirmation and password reset through our email provider. We may occasionally email you about important changes; you can ask us to stop at any time.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how people arrive, roughly where they are (country or city), the type of device and browser, and broad actions such as choosing a specialty or answering a question. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to do this. It does not receive your answers, notes, name or email address, and we do not use it for advertising. You can block it with your browser’s privacy settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
What we don’t do
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
The site is hosted on Netlify; accounts and data use Supabase; emails are sent with Brevo; usage statistics are collected with Google Analytics. These providers process data on our behalf.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your account and data by emailing hello@thehousejob.com.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change.
