About The House Job
The House Job helps young doctors in Pakistan get through the house job safely, with practical clinical guides, drug doses and calculators. Its NRE-1 Prep question bank is for Pakistanis who studied medicine abroad and must pass the PMDC National Registration Exam (NRE) before registration.
Clinical guides
Practical guides for the ER, the wards, OPD and on-call nights. Each one starts with a quick card (what to do now, key doses, when to call your senior, what not to miss), then covers presentation, history, examination, differential diagnosis, investigations, management with prescriptions, and follow-up. Every dose links to its source.
NRE-1 Prep
A bank of original NRE-style questions mapped to the PMDC NRE syllabus, with an explanation for every option, mock exams and performance tracking.
Drug doses and calculators
Dose pages for the medicines used most in Pakistani hospitals, and the calculators you need on every shift. Once the site is saved to your phone, all of it works without internet.
Who writes it
The content is written and reviewed by doctors trained in Pakistan and working in the UK, who have done the house job themselves. Read how we write and check content.
